Changelog
New features, improvements, and fixes.
July 15, 2026
Security now uses clean section rows (Password, 2FA, Connected Accounts, Danger Zone) with no card boxes. Billing shows your plan status in a compact, clean layout. Integrations keeps the platform cards but the Cloud Storage section is now a clean row list. All three match the Vercel-style pattern introduced to Settings.
Settings is now organized into four tabs (Profile, Branding, AI & Output, Notifications) with a Vercel-style row layout: label and description on the left, control on the right. No more scrolling past a wall of cards.
After uploading a transcript manually and viewing the result, the summary now shows up in the Recent Summaries list on the dashboard when you navigate back. Previously, summaries were only saved to your account if you had cloud storage configured or clicked Save Changes explicitly.

Every interior page (Integrations, Settings, Security, Summaries, Billing, Results, Firm, Admin, Docs, Support, Changelog) now uses the full available width. The Integrations page shows meeting-platform cards in a 2×2 grid with Cloud Storage full-width below. The Security page uses a two-column layout — credentials on the left, connected accounts and billing on the right.
The interior app now uses a warm cream light theme (matching the Mestor landing page) and a sidebar navigation in place of the top nav bar. The dashboard shows live stats (summaries this month, this week, all time), a combined manual/automated upload card, and a recent summaries list — all loaded from real data.
June 29, 2026
Synopsist now waits for Zoom's transcript-completed event instead of the recording-completed event, and falls back to fetching the transcript directly from Zoom's API if it's missing from the webhook payload. Fixes cases where summaries weren't generated because the transcript wasn't ready yet when the recording finished.
Added a standing instruction to every summary-generation prompt so that Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, and bank account or routing numbers are never included in an executive summary, even if a client mentions one during the meeting.
June 28, 2026
Users with a referral discount now see a skeleton placeholder where the price will appear while billing status loads, instead of the full price briefly showing before snapping to the discounted price.
After entering your MFA code and pressing Verify, the screen now shows a brief spinner while the dashboard loads instead of briefly reverting to the login form. The same fix applies to the 'Skip for now' button on the two-factor setup nudge screen.
Admin can flag any user for a 15% referral discount. That user then sees discounted prices ($25.49 / $42.49) on the pricing page with a 'referral discount applied' badge and a strikethrough on the original price. The discount is injected automatically into their Stripe checkout — first payment and every renewal.
June 27, 2026
The Save to Drive / Save to OneDrive button now saves to the cloud folder configured for the integration that generated the summary. A Zoom summary goes to your Zoom output folder, a Google Meet summary goes to your Meet folder, a manual upload goes to your manual folder — even if all three point to different folders or different providers.
Key events are now recorded to an audit log: logins (success and failure), MFA enable/disable, integration connections and disconnections, password changes, plan changes, and admin actions. Admins can view a user's full event history by clicking the clock icon in the admin table.
Each account is now limited to 2 simultaneous sessions. Logging in on a third device automatically revokes the oldest session. Sessions expire when you log out or after inactivity, protecting accounts shared across multiple devices.
Users on an active subscription can now switch between Manual and Automation plans directly from the Pricing page. Upgrades are prorated automatically — you only pay the difference. A Change Plan button on the Billing page links directly to the plan selector.
The Firm plan now appears on the Pricing page greyed out with a Coming Soon badge while we finalize multi-seat functionality. Existing features for firm owners (member management, team summaries) continue to work.
Firm owners can now view all summaries generated by their team members on the Firm page. Filter by individual member or view everything at once. Summaries open in a read-only modal without affecting member-facing data.
Users on the Manual plan who connected Google or Microsoft for cloud storage output now see 'Google Drive' and 'OneDrive' in the Security page rather than 'Google Meet' or 'Microsoft Teams', which only appear for Automation plan users.
The Firm link in the nav briefly disappeared and reappeared when navigating between pages because the billing status cache was missing the firmRole and plan fields. Fixed — the Firm link now remains stable across navigation.
Manual plan users can now connect Google Drive or OneDrive for cloud output from the Integrations page without first having a paid Automation plan. The OAuth flow is now accessible directly from the provider button.

Selecting the Modern or Bold template now affects the PDF download — section headings, divider lines, and layout all reflect the chosen style. Previously PDFs always rendered in Classic regardless of your selection.
The Modern and Bold templates now display labeled Summary and Recommendations sections in the preview and in downloaded DOCX files, matching the Classic template behavior.
When sending a summary to a client from the results page, the attached file is now a PDF rather than a Word document — consistent with what most clients expect to receive.
If your Google account connection expires or is revoked, a banner now appears on the Integrations page with a one-click Reconnect button so you know immediately and can restore automatic processing.
June 20, 2026
Summaries are now grouped by client name so all meetings for the same client appear together. Added a search bar to filter by client and platform filter chips (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Webex, Manual).
Connect and Enable buttons no longer briefly appear before the page knows your actual status. Pages now show a skeleton placeholder while loading and cache results within your session.
June 19, 2026
A new Docs tab in the nav covers all four integrations — Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex — with step-by-step setup, usage, and troubleshooting guides. Includes a Getting Started section that walks new users through the recommended setup order.
New users now see a 3-step welcome modal on first login covering what Synopsist does, the two ways to get started, and a nudge to set up branding first. Accessible again at any time via the Getting Started Guide link on the dashboard.
June 18, 2026
Users can now enable TOTP-based two-factor authentication from the Security page using any authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.). Includes single-use backup codes and an admin override for account recovery.
June 16, 2026
Synopsist now supports automatic transcript processing from Microsoft Teams (via Microsoft 365 OAuth) and Webex (via webhook). Connect either platform from the Integrations page.
Two new fonts — Merriweather (serif) and Lato (sans-serif) — are now available in Settings. Both render identically in PDF and DOCX using embedded TTF files. Georgia and Calibri were removed as they were silently substituted with different fonts.
June 15, 2026
A Regenerate button on the results page lets you get a fresh summary from Claude without leaving the page. A confirmation dialog prevents accidental regeneration, and an animated skeleton overlay shows while the new summary loads.
You can now edit the client name directly on the results page using the pencil icon. Changes update the email subject line and are saved to the summary record if the summary has already been saved.
June 14, 2026
Downloaded PDFs now include your website and firm name in the footer (matching the DOCX). Section headings (Summary and Recommendations) that were missing from the client-side PDF are now rendered correctly.
June 10, 2026
Admins can now enable or disable email notifications per user from the admin panel, and view MFA status for all users.
June 5, 2026
Synopsist now integrates with Zoom via webhook. When a Zoom meeting ends and transcription is enabled, the transcript is automatically retrieved and processed into an executive summary.
May 28, 2026
You can now add a custom closing page (e.g. 'Ways We Can Help You') in Settings. It appears as the final page of every PDF and DOCX you generate.
May 20, 2026
Connect your Google account and Synopsist will monitor your Meet Recordings folder in Drive, automatically processing new transcripts and Gemini-generated meeting notes.
